The "2006 State of Corporate Blogging," conducted by Harris Interactive, and sponsored by Makovsky + Company, found that Fortune 1000 business executives are reacting slowly to the idea of corporate blogs as a communications medium.

Not so, at Cobra Solutions! Today we are launching a blog that we hope will be of value to our customers and businesses across the U.S. as they grapple with the ins and outs of COBRA administration. As new developments arise, we will share those, as well as our thoughts and opinions!

Tempe, AZ, December 14, 2005 – COBRA Solutions, Inc., a leader in Employee Benefits software, announced today the release of version 4.x of Cafeteria Plan Manager software. Cafeteria Plan Manager is designed for employers and Certified Public Accountants who perform Cafeteria Plan Administration.

Version 4.x includes the option for plan administrators to design their Cafeteria Plans so that participants can be reimbursed for claims incurred up to 2½ months after the close of the plan year. The 2½ month grace period, announced by the IRS on May 18, 2005, is designed to give workers with Flexible Spending Accounts more time to pay for medical and dependent care expenses and will ease the year-end spending rush prompted by the prior rule.

TEMPE, Ariz., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- COBRA Solutions, Inc., a leader in
COBRA compliance software, announced today the release of version 10.x of
COBRA Administration Manager software. COBRA Administration Manager is
designed for employers with 20 or more employees who self-administer COBRA.

Version 10.x includes changes to the HIPAA Certificate of Creditable
Coverage based on the final and proposed changes to HIPAA portability
regulations announced by the U.S. Department of Labor. The final HIPAA
regulations are effective for plan years beginning on or after July 1, 2005 or
January 1, 2006 for calendar plan years.

"In addition to the standardized HIPAA Certificate of Creditable Coverage,
we have included several exciting upgrades to the software," said Mark

This most recent release contains the changes as outlined in the proposed rules announced by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) on May 28th 2003. COBRA Administration Manager is the leading COBRA Administration software designed for small, medium and large organizations to administer COBRA Compliance.

Recently, COBRA Solutions released a new 32-bit version of the Cafeteria Plan Manager.  It was designed to operate more like the COBRA Administration Manager; with internet updates, newly designed reports and greater account adjustment capabilities.  With changes in the law, Plan Documents and SPD's were updated.  Operational speed has been increased by over 300% with a new database structure, making administration faster and more reliable.

Effective immediately, COBRA Solutions has changed the name of the COBRA Administration Manager 2000 software, dropping the "2000" designation.  It's name was given at a time when Microsoft was introducing the Windows 2000 operating system and our "2000" was to designate its compatibility with that operating system.  Since its introduction we have been flooded with calls asking if the program had been updated past the year 2000.  The system is always kept current with the law and updates are available via the internet with our annual maintenance agreement.

On October 1, 2000, COBRA Solutions introduced a newly-designed 32-bit version of the COBRA Administration Manager.  With the release of COBRA's final regulations, the software was updated with new notifications, greater functionality and increased reporting capabilities.  The new COBRA administration program is an upgrade (maintaining data already entered) to the current version, adding new technology to offer the user the most powerful product in the industry. The program utilizes the internet to immediately update notifications, offers an on-line manual and a monthly email newsletter to notify the user of recent changes to the law.
